Tottenham star James Maddison has given an update on his recovery from an ankle injury.

The midfielder was forced off before half-time in Spurs’ 4-1 defeat against Chelsea, with the side yet to win a game since.

It was soon revealed that Maddison had suffered damage to his ankle ligament and would be out of action until the New Year.

It was soon revealed that Maddison had suffered damage to his ankle ligament and would be out of action until the New Year.

Although Spurs fans will have to wait a little longer for his return, Maddison has insisted that his recovery is going well.
Speaking to Ben Foster for Amazon Prime Video Sport, he said: “It’s healing well, it’s a bit of a slow burner which is obviously frustrating because like you said, I started the season so well. But it’s healing, slowly but surely.”
When asked if he has had injuries before, Maddison replied: “I’ve had a couple, this is probably the longest one I’ve had if it’s say three months, I’ve never really gone past that.
