The former Liverpool defender was hugely impressed by the work that Kulusevski does off the ball.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski vs Nottingham Forest
Well, Jamie Carragher has been raving about Tottenham Hotspur forward Dejan Kulusevski on Sky Sports Premier League.
The former Liverpool defender was impressed by the display produced by Kulusevski in Tottenham’s win against Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Premier League on Friday evening.
The 23-year-old Sweden international winger provided the assist for Tottenham’s first goal and scored the second. He also worked very hard off the ball.
When Carragher’s co-commentator noted in the second half that nobody has covered more ground in the Premier League this season than Kulusevski, the former Liverpool defender lavished praise on him.
Carragher said about Kulusevski on Sky Sports Premier League (9:28 pm, December 15, 2023): “That’s why he is a top player. You wouldn’t be a top attacking player at the top end of the game if you did not work off the ball and have quality on the ball.
“Tottenham have got at least two of those in their team when you think of Son and Kulusevski.”
Dejan Kulusevski could become world class
In my view, Tottenham Hotspur and Sweden international forward Dejan Kulusevski has the potential to become world class.
Kulusevski is only 23. He is still developing and progressing as a player, but he has been a regular for years now.
The youngster was a regular in the Juventus first team before making an immediate impact at Spurs.
The 23-year-old has the ability to put in wonderful crosses or cut inside. He makes the right decisions most of the time.
