Tottenham Hotspur have mocked Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson on X after Spurs’ 4-1 win on Sunday.
The Magpies lost for the second game in a row this weekend, following up the defeat at Everton with another disappointing loss away from home.
This time Eddie Howe’s side were ripped apart by a rampant Spurs side that clicked into gear for the first time in weeks. Tiredness was also an issue for Newcastle, with Howe once again having to pick the same 10 outfield players for the fifth consecutive game.
It became immediately evident that the Newcastle players were off the pace, and that led to an emphatic victory for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
There were goals from Destiny Udogie and captain Son Heung-Min, while Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes’ Brazilian teammate Richarlison got himself a brace.
And after the game, Tottenham’s official X account has posted an image in support of the forward whilst also poking fun at Toon striker Callum Wilson for what he previously said about Richarlison.

Tottenham mock Callum Wilson after Richarlison brace
Earlier this year on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Wilson and Michail Antonio discussed Richarlison’s struggles in front of goal since leaving Everton for Tottenham.
The podcast duo mocked Richarlison last season, after he received four bookings for taking his shirt off when scoring – only for three of those goals to be disallowed.
After his brace on Sunday, the official Tottenham X account have bitten back in the form of a meme.
They posted an image of Michael Jordan from The Last Dance, with Richarlison’s face imposed on it, alongside the quote ‘and I took that personally’.
This is along the lines of something Jordan said during the documentary, explaining how he used something he saw as disrespectful as motivation. For reference, Jordan actually said ‘it became personal with me’, rather than ‘and I took that personally’.
Callum Wilson will see the funny side after Newcastle loss
It is good banter from Tottenham, and you have to imagine Wilson will see it as that. You can’t dish it out and not expect a bit back.
This comes after Wilson was unhappy with Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario for a gesture he made during Sunday’s game. After the final whistle, there was a small altercation between the two, with the £20million striker taking issue with Vicario.
It is the second game in a row that things have spilled over after full time. It happened after Everton too, with multiple Newcastle players being furious with Jordan Pickford.
The Tottenham incident was less heated, while this post about Richarlison is all in good fun.
