Tottenham Hotspur are doing extremely well at the moment, and one of the players who is flourishing under head coach Ange Postecoglou is Pedro Porro.
Pedro Porro joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.
The loan deal was made permanent in the summer of 2023.
Porro did relatively well for Spurs in the second half of last season, and now he has taken his game to another level.
The 24-year-old right-back is playing regularly for Tottenham and is doing consistently well.
Porro is very good going on the attack and is also defensively strong.
The 24-year-old has given one assist in eight Premier League matches for Spurs so far this season.
Paul Merson on Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro
Former Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has been surprised by how well Porro has done.
Merson told SportsKeeda: “Pedro Porro was someone I thought would struggle in the Premier League, but he’s been outstanding too!”
My View: Tottenham Hotspur could challenge for Premier League title
I know that it is only the end of October, but I believe that Tottenham Hotspur could really challenge for the Premier League title.
After all, Arsenal pushed Manchester City really hard for the title last season.
Arsenal were expected to challenge for the Premier League top four last season, but the Gunners ended up becoming Manchester City’s main challengers for the trophy.
Spurs could do something similar this season.
Of course, it is going to be hard for Tottenham to win the title.
City, Arsenal and Liverpool all have better squads than Spurs.
But, Tottenham are playing with a renewed belief now.
Spurs are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from nine matches.
Tottenham are two points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal, who are second and third respectively in the standings.
