Tottenham are finally back in Premier League action on Monday evening as Fulham make the trip to north London. Last in action 16 days ago, it has been a rather long wait for everyone connected with the club following the second international break of the season.
While the latest pause in play did bring about a couple of scares from a Tottenham perspective with Cristian Romero coming off injured for Argentina and Son Heung-min spotted limping, the break did have its positives. A number of players, such as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso, got some much-needed minutes in the tank, while Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie made their international debuts for Netherlands and Italy respectively.
Having gone into the break top of the Premier League table, Spurs will be looking to reclaim their position come the latest round of league fixtures. It will certainly not be straightforward, though, with Marco Silva’s Fulham team capable of causing them a number of issues.
