A number of Tottenham Hotspur players are flourishing under Ange Postecoglou at the moment, and it seems that Jamie Donley could soon get his chance.
Tottenham Hotspur are doing extremely well at the moment.
Although I do not think that Tottenham have the players or the squad to really push Manchester City and Liverpool all the way for the Premier League title this season, Spurs are certainly very much capable of ending up in the UEFA Champions League places.
And, unlike under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, Spurs are playing wonderful football under former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou has shown that he is not afraid to play young players if he thinks that they are good enough.
Just look at Destiny Udogie.
The 20-year-old Italian has established himself as the number one left-back at Spurs.
Jamie Donley is another youngster who could get his chance in the Tottenham first team.
Tottenham head coach Postecoglou has said that he has been hugely impressed by the 18-year-old attacker in the club’s Under-21 side.
Ange Postecoglou on Tottenham Hotspur attacker Jamie Donley
Football.London quotes Postecoglou as saying: “With the young guys and guys like Jamie, he’s done really well and our Under-21s have had some really consistent performances in their league.
“Jamie and Alfie Dorrington have really stood out.
“We’ve had them training with us but at the same time they still have a long way to go and work.”
My View: Jamie Donley needs to make the most of his Tottenham chances
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur youngster Jamie Donley should make the most of the chances he could get under head coach Ange Postecoglou.
The former Celtic head coach clearly rates him highly.
After all, Postecoglou praised the teenager in public and also included him in the Tottenham matchday squad for the match against Liverpool and trained with the first team.
And he could feature for Spurs against Luton Town in the Premier League this weekend.
