Here is What to expect from the new superstar that just sign to Tottenham

Italian midfielder Marco Fossati has revealed that he was left impressed with Tottenham’s newest signing Luka Vuskovic during his time at Hajduk Split.

Vuskovic is widely considered by many to be a future superstar, with the centre-back having established himself as a mainstay in the Hajduk backline despite being just 16 years of age.

Tottenham announced on Monday that the teenager has signed a contract until 2030 and that he will remain with the Croatian side until 2025 before moving to N17.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on the Here We Go podcast earlier this month that the defender was on the radars of several top European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

However, he explained that the youngster had his heart set on a move to Spurs after the North London club presented their project to him.

Vuskovic receives glowing review from old teammate

Fossati, who shared a dressing room with Vuskovic in Croatia, is sure that the centre-back is capable of making the required step up to the Premier League.

The former Cagliari midfielder, who left Hajduk to join Romanian side Universitatea Cluj this summer, told TuttoMercatoWeb: “At Hajduk, I was particularly struck by Luka Vuskovic, a 16-year-old central defender. Last year he was a regular starter with us in the last month. So much so that huge clubs moved for him.

“I remember there was talk of Manchester City, Arsenal, Milan and Juventus, but he can probably go to Tottenham. Physically he’s fit, has nice feet, great personality. Vuskovic is a really good player, very good.”

It will certainly be exciting to see how Vuskovic develops over the next couple of years, given the progress he is making at such a young age. Tottenham will be hoping that they could perhaps have a Phillips-Vusjovic pairing at the back in two or three years.
