Why is he forgotten so soon,Micah Richards says the sensational tottenham player is being ignored

One Tottenham Hotspur player who has been transformed under head coach Ange Postecoglou is Yves Bissouma, and we saw that against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby on Sunday.

Yves Bissouma was in action for Tottenham Hotspuragainst Arsenal in the Premier League.

Yves Bissouma impressive for Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal

Bissouma started in defensive midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

And he was very impressive.

Although Arsenal dominated proceedings in the early stages, Bissouma kept his discipline and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.

The 27-year-old imposed himself on the match in the second half and stopped Arsenal and Norway international attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard from playing to the best of his ability.

Against Arsenal in the North London derby, Bissouma took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 94.9%, won one header, took 76 touches, attempted one dribble, and made four tackles and one clearance.

Praise for Yves Bissouma

Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker was impressed by the display produced by Bissouma, and so was ex-Manchester City star and BBC Sport pundit Micah Richards.

Richards has said that because of how good James Maddison has been for Tottenham since his move from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, people are ignoring what Bissouma is doing.

Lineker said about Bissouma on The Rest is Football podcast: “I thought early in the game, he gave it away a couple of times when Arsenal were pressing so high, but after that, he was all over them.”

Richards said: “The thing with Bissouma is that because Maddison has started so well, a lot of people are forgetting what Bissouma has done this season.

“He has probably been their best, most consistent player this season.”
