West Ham United and Newcastle United are all set to battle it out for the services of 26-year-old Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney.
According to a report by the Express, West Ham United and Newcastle United are both keen on having Kieran Tierney in their ranks. And, they are making moves to sign the 26-year-old full-back who is not in the plans of Mikel Arteta.
Tierney came through the ranks at Celtic before joining Arsenal back in the summer of 2019. Initially, he went from strength to strength but over the years he started going down the pecking order at the club. And, despite efforts his efforts last season, Arteta doesn’t consider him a part of his project.
The Spanish manager was keen on bolstering his squad and he ended up signing defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax. The 22-year-old defender is a huge prospect for the future and he showcased his talent in the first two matches. But, unfortunately, he has picked up an injury and is expected to be out for a while.
They are looking to add more depth to their defence and believe Tierney’s arrival will give their defence an x-factor. While both the clubs pushing hard for his services, it won’t be easy as Arsenal are unlikely to sell until they sign a replacement.
