Working in Emery favour..? Diego Simeone seems to be working for Villa as he send message to Joao Felix message after his Chelsea decision

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has said that the club will ensure that any bids for Joao Felix will be ‘good financially’ in order for a move to happen.

Villa have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for the forward, who has spent the second half of the season on loan with Chelsea. Unai Emery revealed in March that the club did attempt to sign him in the January window after having discussions with Felix’s agent, but were ‘never really in the running’ for the player.

In his six months with Chelsea, the Portugal international scored four goals in 16 Premier League appearances. He didn’t however have the best start to his Premier League career being shown a straight red card almost an hour into his debut.
It has been confirmed that new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has opted against extending the player’s time at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer, meaning that he will return to Atletico.
Speaking to, El Partidazo De COPE translated by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Simeone gave the latest on the player’s future following Chelsea’s decision. “Joao is our player,” he said.
He also sent a message to any teams who may bid for Felix in the summer window.

He added: “Bids for Joao Felix? We’ve to see if the proposal will be good financially for the club, that is crucial.”
