Just in!!! Aston villa looking forward to hijack Liverpool’s 20-year-old wonder kid from Wolves as Unai Emery registers interest

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly been credited with an interest in Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho.

The 20-year-old’s immediate future at Anfield is unclear after joining the Reds last summer. Carvalho joined from Fulham for a fee of £5million and made an early impact this past season before his participation fluctuated in the second half of the campaign.

With the Reds reluctant to selling the Portuguese forward, he looks set to depart on loan following the returns of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota in the second half of the season. Boss Jurgen Klopp also has Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo at his disposal heading into the new season.

The Reds have already turned down a bid from RB Leipzig for Carvalho, who has five years left on his contract. With Liverpool considering him a player for the future, they would be open to a loan agreement, reports Caught Offside.

Along with Wolves, Premier League clubs are said to be admirers of Carvalho including Aston Villa. Klopp who recently spoke about the youngster’s situation, said: “I think there is a maybe a possibility Fabio goes on loan but the thing is this was not Fabio’s best year in his career, clear, but it might have been his most important

“No player has impressed me more than Fabio, it is the truth. This talented boy came here with big dreams and big expectations and it didn’t work out – it was okay in the beginning but it didn’t work out in the end.

“But his work ethic will give him a fantastic career because he trained with getting nothing.”
