West Ham’s Moyes Keeping a close eye on Fiorentina ahead of final showdown

West Ham coach Davide Moyes reportedly attended the Coppa Italia final between Fiorentina and Inter, keeping a close eye on the team he’ll face in the Conference League final.

The Viola will face off against the Hammers at the Fortuna Arena in Prague on June 7. Vincenzo Italiano’s side will be hoping to replicate the exploits of Jose Mourinho’s Roma, who lifted the Conference League title last season, earning a heroes welcome when the squad returned to the Italian capital.

Fiorentina and West Ham are in similar positions heading into the Conference League final. Both teams looked inconsistent in their league games but found more joy on the European stage, making the clash in Prague vitally important for both sides.

As reported by ViolaNews, Moyes personally attended the Coppa Italia final between Fiorentina and Inter at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday, watching from the stands as the Viola suffered defeat.

The Scottish coach is desperate to give the Hammers their first European title in decades; back in 1999, the East London outfit lifted the UEFA Intertoto Cup, and before that they won the European Cup Winners’ Cup back in the 1964-65 campaign.

Fiorentina’s only European title came in the 1960-61 season, when they won the European Cup Winners’ Cup.
