Tottenham Hotspur top defender target Jean-Clair Todibo has finally broken silence amid his transfer links to Spurs and sent a 3-sentence message to Daniel Levy

Ange Postecoglou‘s first transfer window at Tottenham was a roaring success and the Aussie will be keen to make it two out of two in January. Spurs have been ravaged by injury issues in recent months, with the winter market offering a vital opportunity to make squad improvements for the second part of the season. Here, Express Sport takes you through how it could pan out for the north Londoners…

The absence of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero for spells this season has proven costly for Tottenham, with Postecoglou forced to field full-backs such as Ben Davies and Emerson Royal in the centre of his backline.

The Spurs boss has not shied away from admitting that centre-back will be a priority area in January, and reports indicate that Jean-Clair Todibo is his top target. The 23-year-old has come of age at OGC Nice, having previously enjoyed spells at Toulouse and Barcelona.

Competition for Todibo’s signature will be fierce, with Manchester United also keen on the defender, so Spurs are believed to be keeping tabs on Tosin Adarabioyo, Jarrad Branthwaite, Lloyd Kelly, Marc Guehi and Radu Dragusin as back-up options.
