Tottenham Hotspur duo Son Heung-min and James Maddison have been earmarked by Gabby Agbonlahor as the two danger men against Chelsea.
The pundit, speaking on talkSPORT, said he can only see a Spurs win against the Blues if Son and Maddison “click” on Monday night.
Ange Postecoglou’s charges will hope to maintain momentum and get another win on board when they host Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Although Spurs are in great form and deservedly top the Premier League table, Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has strong players in the ranks.
However, things haven’t quite clicked for the West Londoners just yet. Their form had picked up, but then Brentford beat them 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last week.
Tottenham were in a similar position last season but Postecoglou hasn’t needed long to get them fighting fit again.
“It’s a big game,” said Agbonlahor. “Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea. It’s a hard one to choose.
“Chelsea look better and more organised under Pochettino.
“But Spurs at home, they’ve turned their home form around and looking a threat. I’ve got to go with a Spurs win.
“Maddison, Son, if they can available, if they click, can only see a Spurs win for me. A close game. I’m going to go 2-1.”
Spurs should be too strong for Chelsea – TBR View
Tottenham are a team reborn under Postecoglou, and Maddison and Son have played a huge part in this.
Maddison is the player Spurs have been crying out for since Christian Eriksen left, while Son has stepped up to the plate as both the line-leader and as the captain.
Chelsea obviously have plenty of dangerous players who look like stars of the future, but for now, it looks like they still need to find their feet. As such, I reckon Tottenham will triumph.
