Ange Postecoglou has issued a fresh injury update on Rodrigo Bentancur, Giovanni Lo Celso and Bryan Gil ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Arsenal this weekend. Mikel Arteta will welcome the Lilywhites to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon in what is poised to be a blockbuster clash.
Ahead of the North London Derby, Postecoglou revealed that the trio could return to training at Hotspur Way in a ‘couple weeks’. The 58-year-old said: “Everyone from last week is in a good space. In terms of longer ones, two or three weeks away. Bryan Gil, Lo Celso, Bentancur, hopefully over the next few weeks they will slowly get involved in training.”
On Ivan Perisic, who has recently suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Postecoglou backed the Croatian to bounce back ‘stronger than ever’. He said: “Yeah, disappointing, first of all for Ivan more than anything else.
Just one of those innocuous things that can happen in training. I’ve only worked with him for a while but you can see why he’s been at the top for so many years.
