Leeds United fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Tottenham on Saturday.
Off the back of Leeds’ 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, the Whites were back at Elland Road on Saturday to face a high-flying Tottenham side.
The visitors were massive favourites for the clash, and through a deflected Mathys Tel strike, took the lead inside 24 minutes.
With that said, it took Leeds just 11 minutes to level the game through Noah Okafor, who finished into an empty goal after Guglielmo Vicario parried a goal-bound shot from Brenden Aaronson.

That would prove to be the final goal of the game, with the Whites forced to rue their missed chances in a 2-1 defeatBefore a ball was kicked, concerns were raised about how well Jayden Bogle would adapt to the Premier League, having previously struggled there massively.However, those fears have been subdued already after just seven games, and he was impressive once again against Tottenham, despite the result.
He won all of his duels in the first half against some tricky attacking opponents, and when given the license, he looked dangerous going forward.
A lot of Leeds’ success so far this season has come from the wide areas, and providing Bogle can stay fit, it will remain that way.Calvert-Lewin’s missed chances prove costly again
Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed some excellent chances against Bournemouth last time out and again looked like he was lacking some confidence in front of goal against Spurs.
He did well for Leeds’ goal, but once again had two good chances in front of goal that he failed to take, one of which arrived just a few minutes after the opener.
Ultimately, a striker will be judged on his ability to take chances when they emerge, and aside from his goal in the 3-1 win against Wolves, he has failed to do so.
His hold-up play was excellent, but his lack of clinical nature was frustrating again.
Leeds are not going to get as many chances in the Premier League as they did in the Championship, and it will prove costly if they fail to take the ones they do get, and that is the responsibility of Calvert-Lewin.
