NOTTINGHAM FOREST ARE FUMING AND IN DISBELIEF OVER THE PREMIER LEAGUE’S LATEST ANNOUNCEMENT AHEAD OF THEIR CLASH WITH WEST HAM—IT’S TERRIBLE.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they face West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Nottingham Forest have slipped out of the top five after their 2-2 draw against Leicester City and so, Champions League qualification looks unlikely.

However, it isn’t over, particularly with Chelsea still to come on the final day at the City Ground, which will be a six-pointer.

First is a trip to the capital, where they’re up against a West Ham United side who have just beaten Manchester United.

Ahead of the clash, the Premier League have just announced something that won’t go down well among the Nottingham Forest camp.

Darren England will be on VAR for Nottingham Forest vs West Ham United

The Premier League have announced the match officials for gameweek 37 and Sam Barrott will be refereeing the Forest game, with Wade Smith and Akil Howson appointed as the assistants.

Matt Donohue will be the fourth official, and controversially, Darren England has been placed on VAR duty, with Mark Scholes as his assistant.

Jamie Redknapp said Darren England made a huge error during Nottingham Forest’s defeat against Brentford, as he failed to show Keane Lewis-Potter a second yellow card

Lewis-Potter was very fortunate not to be sent off by England, and consequently for Forest, they suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat.

Nottingham Forest last five meetings vs West Ham United

Forest head into the game off the back of one win in six games, so they’re in desperate need of three points.

But, fortunately for Forest, they have a good record against West Ham in recent years, winning three of their last five meetings.

Espirito Santo’s side could do the double with a win on Sunday afternoon, as Forest beat West Ham 3-0 in the reverse fixture.

Victory could even see them move back into the top five, depending on other results.
