Dalziel acknowledges that the Gers fans might not agree with Beale being in the dugout, but feels Gerrard could potentially reunite with him after leaving Al-Ettifaq together.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, the Scotsman said: “If I’m Gerrard and I come back at Rangers, I’m bringing Beale. The reason I’m doing it is because he now knows he’s not a manager, but his best thing is coaching.
“Gerrard probably admitted it, Beale did the coaching, and he was the manager. Rangers fans might not like that.”
Ibrox would like Ferguson to stay after takeover
The Ibrox faithful would surely like to see Ferguson continue at the Light Blues rather than the prospect of having Beale back.
While the Englishman did do a decent job when Gerrard was around, his managerial tenure was forgettable after replacing Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The former QPR boss got on the wrong side of the Bears’ supporters, and it would be surprising to see him ever return to the Glaswegian outfit.
While some fans may want Gerrard back at Rangers, the Liverpool icon splits opinions at Ibrox despite winning the Scottish Premiership title.
The ex-midfielder broke the 10-year league trophy drought at the Gers during his spell in Glasgow, but subsequently left midway through the season to join Aston Villa.
It will be interesting to see what Cavenagh and the 49ers think about the managerial situation at the Light Blues, but they will arguably immediately turn the supporters against them if Beale sets foot into Ibrox.
The prospective new owners have a big task at hand as they look to start a new era in Scotland.
