Rangers secured a late draw against Aberdeen on Sunday but didn’t do so without controversy to leave Callum Davidson fuming.
The Gers fell two goals behind at Pittodrie on 13 April thanks to first-half strikes from Leighton Clarkson and Pape Gueye.
Barry Ferguson’s side managed to peg the Dons back in the second half as Ianis Hagi netted a 96th-minute equaliser after Hamza Igamane’s earlier strike.
Things could have been so different for the Light Blues if not for a moment of madness that left former Scotland international Davidson raging.

Ahead of the clash in AB24, it came as a surprise to see a huge number of changes made, including the introduction of six attack-minded players.
This didn’t necessarily pay off as the Govan club struggled to get on the scoresheet for the most part, requiring a moment of magic from Hagi to secure a point.
With that being said, things weren’t helped as Ross McCausland was sent off after just 40 minutes for two yellow cards after coming in from the start.
There was little resistance to this decision from referee Steven McLean, who had little choice but to send the Northern Ireland international off.
This was echoed by ex-St Johnstone defender Davidson, who gave a scathing review of the 21-year-old on BBC Sportscene (13 April).
He said: “For me here, he gets caught on the wrong side, and there’s no excuse. That’s basic experience, that’s not on.”

It has been a largely difficult season for the Northern Irishman, who has struggled for regular minutes regardless of the manager.
Under both Ferguson and Philippe Clement, the winger has clocked up just four Scottish Premiership starts and a further nine substitute appearances.

Unfortunately for McCausland, he failed to make his opportunity count against Aberdeen as he was sent off for two yellow cards in the first half.
Both challenges were ill-advised, and both were deserving of a booking before he was eventually given his marching orders.
This didn’t ultimately cost the Gers as they secured a late draw, but wasn’t particularly a positive reflection on the winger ahead of the Europa League clash against Athletic Club.
