In a shocking revelation that has sent waves through the Celtic fanbase, manager Brendan Rodgers has disclosed that star forward Kyogo Furuhashi recently turned down a significant request from the club before his permanent move to Stade Rennais. I had a conversation with Kyogo about his future before he left, and I expressed how much we value him at Celtic,” Rodgers shared. “We asked him to consider staying and help us achieve our goals this season, but he  expressed an interest in a move to France, which he feels is an exciting opportunity for him personally. We even offered him an increase in his earning but he declined”

Addressing these sentiments, Rodgers reassured fans, stating, “We are working tirelessly to strengthen the squad. We are confident that we will find the right players to continue our journey in the right direction.”

In response to the backlash, Rodgers also urged the fans to remain patient and supportive, emphasizing that he continues to have faith in the current squad and the talent available to him. He reassured fans that the club has contingency plans in place should highlighting the importance of building a resilient and competitive team.

Every player will make decisions based on their personal ambitions, and we need to respect that,” Rodgers stated. “But I assure our supporters that our focus remains on the season ahead, and we are prepared to adapt if necessary. The club’s objective is to continue winning and performing at a high level.”
