Leicester City are on the verge of offloading Cannon to Championship promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.
Cannon enjoyed a prolific first half of the season at Stoke City and due to growing interest in his signature this month, Leicester decided to recall him and cash in.
Everton do hold a sell-on clause so they will receive some money from his sale, though, it’s a lot lower than many would’ve expected.
According to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers, the Toffees are due to receive 20 per cent of £2.5m, so £500,000.

Cannon, who was sold by Everton in a £7.5m deal in 2023, has shown his promise and goalscoring nouse since leaving Goodison Park.
The 2002-born forward netted 11 times in 25 appearances for Stoke and now could be set for a Premier League return with The Blades, who reside in second place.
If he continues his form in Sheffield, it could be a sale Everton begin to rue and perhaps even Leicester, too.
The Foxes have been forced into selling Cannon due to PSR, so he’s leaving the East Midlands in very similar circumstances to when he departed Merseyside.
