DESTINY UDOGIE IS FINISHED AT TOTTENHAM’- FANS STUNNED BY LATEST FOOTAGE

Destiny Udogie has been laid into by Tottenham fans for his part in Nottingham Forest’s opening goal against his side at The City Ground.

Spurs went into the game looking to bounce back from their 6-3 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday (22 December) that had led to more discussion around Ange Postecoglou’s style of play.

However they found themselves behind at The City Ground on Boxing Day, with Anthony Elanga firing the home side ahead.

There were though more frustrations for Tottenham over the concession of that goal from a defensive perspective, with Udogie in particular coming under fire for what he did in the lead-up to the opener

Destiny Udogie loses out to Anthony Elanga as Nottingham Forest go ahead against Tottenham

After missing the last two games after some fitness issues, the left-back was restored to the starting XI for Spurs against Forest.

With 28 minutes on the clock though, he was caught out as Morgan Gibbs-White slid a pinpoint pass down the Forest right for Elanga to run on to.

As Udogie raced the Sweden international for possession, it was the Tottenham full-back who lost the race comfortably, almost appearing to pull-up and allow Elanga clear run at the ball.

From there the winger was able to break into the box and curl an effort past Fraser Forster to give the hosts the opening goal.

Taking to social media to react to that incident, many Tottenham fans were – not for the first time this season – far from impressed with what they saw from Udogie in his attempts to defend that attack.
