Golden Boy winner Pedri REVEALS hidden exceptional attributes of Why Pep is going to sign City-bound Declan Rice replacement

Barcelona wonderkid Pedri has previously admitted that he is a huge admirer of Manchester City-linked midfielder Gabri Veiga.

In an interview with GQ Spain, as relayed by AS, the Spanish international gave an insight into the midfielders he likes to watch.

One of the names Pedri took was Gabri Veiga, who has been viewed as an alternative by Manchester City to Declan Rice, with a release clause of £35.8 million.

It was reported on Wednesday that despite pulling out of the race to sign the Arsenal-bound midfielder, the club were not worried about bringing in alternatives whatsoever.

It seems like that is the case with Veiga, who is a more natural replacement for Gundogan and could well don sky blue next season.

As recently as a month ago, Pedri lavished praise on to Gabri Veiga, which should make anyone and everyone associated with Manchester City excited.

“Gabri Veiga is also exploding, and I really like how he plays”, he briefly said.

The La Liga winner clearly knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a top young midfielder, as he is one himself and perhaps the best in the world amongst his agemates at least.

Signing Gabri Veiga could be a masterclass

While Pedri, like many rates his fellow countryman highly, there have been question marks over whether Manchester City should pursue his signature.

Despite the Spaniard registering 11 goals and four assists for a relegated Celta Vigo side last term, he has only played one full season of first-team football.

However, it is worth exploring that if Manchester City do end up signing the 21-year-old, he is clearly ready to take the world by storm as the club rarely get transfers wrong.

And if Veiga is, he has the perfect coach at his disposal in Guardiola to take his talent to the next level.
