According to a report from Fichajes, Leicester City are willing to pay Brighton and Hove Albion’s €50m (£41.4m) valuation of Facundo Buonanotte. However, they will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, who also wish to sign Buonanotte.
This season, Facundo Buonanotte has been the best player at Leicester City. Unfortunately, he is only on loan and Leicester have broken rule number one of never falling in love with loaned players.
That said, it is pretty impossible not to become fascinated by Buonanotte. The Argentine, commonly dubbed as the Midlands Messi, is the full package for Leicester City. He is multifaceted and looks comfortable in most midfield or attacking positions.
Considered a bright prospect for the future, Leicester City might have first dibs when it comes to signing Buonanotte. However, Brighton holds all the cards here, since there is no option or obligation for Leicester to buy him when his contract ends.
Technically speaking, Brighton do not have to sell Buonanotte if they don’t want to. Depending on what happens between now and the end of the season for the Seagulls, they might wish to keep him all to themselves. They owe no club anything – This is important to consider.
