Joachim Andersen returned to Selhurst Park on Saturday for the first time since his summer switch from Crystal Palace to Fulham.
The Denmark international was sold to the Cottagers in a £30m deal – with Dougie Freedman recruiting the £15.2m Maxence Lacroix as his replacement.
It was a decision which many in SE25 questioned, and those feelings have since become stronger after the Dane helped Fulham record a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday, leaving us 17th in the Premier League.

Now – writing on Instagram – Joachim Andersen has sent a message to Crystal Palace supporters.

The Fulham No.5 received a warm welcome back to south London on Saturday, one that he was seemingly grateful for.
Andersen wrote: “What a week. Two games six points. Let’s continue the form. Special feeling for me to be back at Selhurst, I appreciate the reception. See you after the International break.”
Whatever your thoughts are on the decision to sell the 28-year-old to Fulham, he deserved nothing less than a good reception, having made 113 appearances for Crystal Palace, and always giving 100%.
Andersen – who seemed to foul Jeffrey Schlupp before Harry Wilson’s goal – scored three goals and provided six assists in those 113 outings for the Eagles.

By the sounds of it, the man from Frederiksberg played a role in his departure from Crystal Palace.
A story from the BBC claims that Andersen asked for a raise on his £80,000-a-week wages as Fulham showed interest, with those in the boardroom at Selhurst Park unwilling to meet his demands.
As such, the £30m bid from Fulham was entertained, with Parish and Freedman seeing more value in signing Lacroix for roughly half that figure, especially as the Frenchman is four years younger.
