Crystal Palace’s winning run has come to an end in a disappointing draw with Wolves.
The game was billed as a six-pointer pre-game, and in a way both Crystal Palace and Wolves will be kicking themselves for only taking a point from the game.
The Eagles watched countless chances go amiss, in the game as Wolves somehow found themselves still in the game.
Oliver Glasner’s frustration was written all over his face as he probably wondered what more he could do.
In the game though, one player had a performance which left fans fuming.
Nketiah also found himself semi-responsible for the first Wolves goal to make it 1-1 as he misplaced his pass – which led to Jorgen Strand Larsen scoring the equaliser.
It was this moment which has left Eagles supporters furious with the No.9.
Eddie Nketiah has horror display against Wolves
Dropping points at the Molineux is absolutely unacceptable for the Eagles considering how many chances were squandered.
Of all the chances it was Ismaila Sarr who squandered the vast majority, however equally as bad in the game was Eddie Nketiah.
Nketiah completed just 78 per cent of his passes in the game, with one misplaced pass being utterly confusing as he had a chance to slip Sarr in one-on-one, but passed it right to the Wolves defender.
Crystal Palace fans left furious
When Wolves bagged an equaliser, fans on X were left absolutely livid for the role that Nketiah played in the goal being conceded as he gave the ball away cheaply when Marc Guehi was acres out of position.
“Guehi massively overcommitted there but Nketiah’s passing is nowhere near good enough to play that role”, one fan wrote on X.
To this, there was an agreement from one fan who commented: “Blame lies with Eddie for that one”.A final fan added: “That was a really poor combination of Nketiah losing the ball and Guehi making a really bad decision to run forward. Will be a huge error if Palace doesn’t win here, Wolves are shocking.”
