Julen Lopetegui is under real pressure now, after West Ham were embarrassed by Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.Mohammed Kudus actually played well for us today on the whole I thought, and a Tottenham fan taking a picture of his celebration in front of their supporters was one shining light from the day.
However, the manner with which he received a red card will have made the Hammers fans’ blood boil.
It was totally unprofessional, and now we have to make do without him for three games.
Kudus has been playing with a chip on his shoulder over the past few weeks, after his half-time falling out with Lopetegui during our clash with Brentford.Frustrations are running high between him and the Hammers head coach right now, there’s no doubt about that.
What happened when Mohammed Kudus walked past Julen Lopetegui
Kudus’s sending off was a disastrous one for the Hammers.
He won’t be in action for us again now until after the international break.
Every West Ham fan absolutely has the right to be fuming with the 24-year-old.
And Lopetegui will not have been happy one little bit either.
Daily Mirror journalist Ryan Taylor took to his X account after Kudus received his marching orders for violent conduct.
And what Taylor saw was deeply concerning.
He said, “Could cut the tension with a knife between Julen Lopetegui & Mohammed Kudus as the latter left the field following his red card. Clearly isn’t much love for one another.“
I have to say, the relationship between Kudus and Lopetegui is a big concern.
Perhaps they haven’t got over the argument they had a few weeks ago, during the half-time break against Brentford.
It’s clear to see that Mohammed Kudus isn’t keen on Julen Lopetegui and vice-versa.
The Ghanaian is our best attacking player, so Lopetegui must find a way of getting over whatever his problem with him is.
I fear that if the Spaniard remains in charge at the London Stadium, we will have no chance of keeping Kudus at the club.
