Oliver Glasner has gone from hero to zero at Crystal Palace after a winless start to the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
A run of six wins and a draw from the final seven outings of last season have been starkly contrasted by a sequence of six Premier League games without victory so far this term.
Of course, not all of this is down to Oliver Glasner – who lost two key players in Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen over the summer – although questions are being asked of the Austrian, who is yet to discover his best XI following a period of significant turnover.
As Crystal Palace await their first win of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, sources have shared some information with We Are Palace about the potentiality of Steve Parish sacking the 50-year-old.
Crystal Palace plan to give Oliver Glasner time
We Are Palace understand that those in the boardroom at Selhurst Park are shocked, disappointed and angered by how the 2024/25 campaign has begun.
It is believed that Crystal Palace chiefs did not expect such a sticky start to the season, but there is an acceptance amongst the hierarchy that they are somewhat to blame, having sanctioned the sales of Andersen and Olise.
Sources inform We Are Palace that, despite this frustration, Crystal Palace are happy with the signings Dougie Freedman successfully negotiated, and believe better results will soon come.
Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer are said to feel these improved results will arrive without needing to make a change in the dugout, as Glasner is someone the hierarchy admire.
It is unknown what John Textor – who still wants to sell his 45% stake in Crystal Palace after failing to buy Everton – thinks of the situation.

Steve Parish is spot on with Glasner stance
It would be madness to sack Glasner after the first hiccup of his time in charge of Crystal Palace, so Parish is right to be patient and put his faith in the Austrian.
As aforesaid, it was only as recently as May that Bayern Munich tried to poach Glasner as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel, which reinforces the calibre of coach Crystal Palace currently have in SE25.
Of course, fans and neutrals alike expected a better start to the 2024/25 campaign, but patience is needed from everybody involved, given the vast changes to squad personnel over the summer.
