FURIOUS FANS HAVE SENT TWO LINE MESSAGES TO POSTECOGLOU AHEAD OF COVENTRY CLASH AFTER HIS TRENDING INTERVIEW WITH NEWS MEN

⚪️ Ange Postecoglou on saying after Arsenal game that he always wins a title in his second year: “I just stated a fact… should I lie?”.

“I am not sure how am I supposed to answer something that’s true and it seems like I upset some people for some reason. Is it me boasting? How am I supposed to answer something?”.

“You could say they are those competitions – or are easy or something – but it is true and I am not sure why people think I am boasting about it. It is true and my plan is for it to happen this year and if it doesn’t happen then I will say it is mostly – but not always”.

Ange Postecoglou sets the record straight on his second-season trophy claim

Tottenham Hotspur are in something of a tight spot at the moment having lost two consecutive matches.

Tottenham face Coventry in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday

They will get the chance to return to winning ways tomorrow evening when they get their first taste of carabao cup action this season.

The third round of the draw pitted Tottenham with an away tie at Coventry City, who are currently in fourteenth place in the Championship.

Ange Postecoglou has today sat down with the media during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way training ground where he has been speaking ahead of the fixture at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a frustrating spectacle for the home fanbase who have now seen their side suffer consecutive defeats.

After the fixture, Postecoglou said “I always win things in my second year” and was asked further about his claim today.

He was quoted by the BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella on X as saying: “It’s amazing – I just stated a fact – should I lie? I am not sure how am I supposed to answer something that’s true and it seems like I upset some people for some reason.
Is it me boasting? How am I supposed to answer something. You could say they are those competitions – or are easy or something – but it is true and I am not sure why people think I am boasting about it.

“It is true and my plan is for it to happen this year and if it doesn’t happen then I will say it is mostly – but not always.”

Tottenham were knocked out in the second round last season

Tottenham need to have a good run in cup competitions, something they failed to do last season having suffered a second round exit to Fulham.

Hopefully, Postecoglou’s track record proves right and Tottenham have silverware in their hands come the end of the campaign.
