Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their search for additional attacking reinforcements, even after reportedly securing the signing of Dominic Solanke.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Spurs may be eyeing Santiago Gimenez, a highly regarded forward who has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League.
Romano indicated that there could be notable developments regarding Gimenez in the coming days, hinting at a possible transfer to the Premier League for the 23-year-old striker.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian journalist stated:
“Santiago Gimenez news? I think there could be news for Santiago Gimenez in the next few days. I spect movement around Santiago Gimenez, and I think it could be the Premier League for Gimenez. There is movement. I can’t say more now, but there is movement around Gimenez.”
Despite already bolstering their attack with the acquisition of Solanke, Tottenham appear to be keeping their options open as they evaluate further additions to their squad.
Gimenez, who is currently valued at approximately €40 million, has drawn the interest of several top clubs due to his standout performances in the Eredivisie.
Since joining Feyenoord from Cruz Azul in 2022 for €6 million, the Mexican international has made a significant impact, scoring 51 goals and assisting 12.
He finished last season as the third-highest goalscorer in the Dutch league, registering 23 goals and 6 assists in 30 league appearances, demonstrating his ability to both score and create opportunities.
While Spurs have been linked with Gimenez this summer, it remains uncertain whether they will move forward with a deal, especially following their agreement for Solanke.
Nevertheless, the potential addition of another forward like Gimenez underscores Tottenham’s determination to assemble a squad capable of competing at the highest level on multiple fronts in the upcoming season.

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in their final pre-season game before their Premier League campaign begins at Leicester City and here are second half player ratings.
Harry Kane and Eric Dier were handed golden cockerels to mark their time at the club on the pitch before the game while new Spurs striker Dominic Solanke was introduced to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium crowd after sealing his £55m plus add-ons move from Bournemouth, while Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall were also unveiled to the supporters.
Spurs had opened the scoring within 24 seconds. Dejan Kulusevski intercepted a Bayern headed pass and Brennan Johnson ran up the pitch and sent the ball back to him, albeit just behind him. Although the Swede could not control the ball, it bounced back to him and he touched it home. Bayern levelled on 17 minutes. There was a free header at the back for Mathys Tel from a free-kick and Dayot Upamecano bundled it in after Guglielmo Vicario palmed out the initial effort.
Both sides had further chances but Spurs conceded a sloppy second. Vicario’s pass out to Yves Bissouma was closed down quickly and the ball came out to Serge Gnabry who fired it low and into the net from the edge of the box. Thomas Muller then headed home a third for Bayern from another set-piece late in the half.
In the second half, there was a first assist for Lucas Bergvall in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as he won the ball back, playing a one-two with Son and teed up Kulusevski to slot the ball into the bottom right corner.
