Former Celtic striker turned pundit Chris Sutton launched a scathing attack on manager Wilfried Nancy following the Hoops’ 2-1 defeat to Dundee United at Tannadice Park, questioning the Frenchman’s persistent selection of an underperforming player.

The loss, sealed by goals from Krisztián Keresztes and a stunning Zachary Sapsford strike after Daizen Maeda’s early opener, marked Nancy’s fourth consecutive defeat since taking charge earlier this month. It was Celtic’s worst run of form in 47 years, leaving them six points adrift of league leaders Hearts, despite games in hand.

During live commentary, Sutton erupted in frustration over Nancy’s decision to start what he described as a “horrible player” who has consistently failed to deliver. “Why must you play him every match?!” Sutton raged. “Is he your son or what?!” The outburst highlighted growing concerns over squad selections amid injuries and adaptation issues to Nancy’s possession-based style.
