EXCLUSIVE: Former Leeds United Champions League ace sends clear Brutal Daniel Farke sack message to 49ers – He Didn’t Hold Back

He spoke to Leeds Live about his thoughts on the calls from critics to sack Daniel Farke
Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills says the 49ers Enterprises ought to have replaced Daniel Farke in the summer if they are thinking about sacking the German so soon into the new season.

Farke has presided over three straight losses and five defeats in six matches with United now in the relegation zone ahead of clashes ahead of clashes against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in succession.
A growing number of supporters are wishing for the 49ers to enact a change of coach amid fears that the club are on course for relegation with Farke at the helm. This weekend marked the first time this season that Leeds both dropped into the bottom three and dipped below their point-per-game target.
However, given the opponents coming up, the fear is that Leeds could corner themselves into a position they cannot dig themselves out of. At the time of writing, there has been no indication that the owners are about to imminently change their coach.
This isn’t the first time the future of Farke has been cast into doubt. Speculation over the summer suggested Farke’s position was in jeopardy, despite winning the Championship title by a record points tally.

Chairman Paraag Marathe eventually came out to declare Farke as “my man”. Speaking to Leeds Live, Mills questioned whether the 49ers made the right call if they are indeed considering dismissing Farke barely 12 games into the season.
The former England international said: “I think it’s always difficult, because he’s done obviously well to get you into the Premier League and then some people say you deserve that opportunity to go again.

“I’ve always said no, that’s not necessarily true. Sometimes, a manager is great at a certain level, and then can’t always take it on. That was the debate in the summer with Daniel Farke.
“I think you look at it now and you’re thinking, how does he improve? Where do you go from here? What happens next? Is there someone who’s out there to come in and maybe do a little bit of a better job?

“If you’re going to do it now, maybe you should have done that in the summer and give someone transfer windows and things like that. So I think it’s difficult.”

Mills – who helped Leeds reach the Champions League semi-final in 2001 – mused: “Daniel Farke is going to do the best job that he can, but he’s always struggled in the Premier League. Is that because the players aren’t ultimately of that quality? Or is it because Daniel Farke has maybe not got the experience to deal with things at this level?”
As of Sunday evening, Farke said he had not been offered any reassurances by the Leeds hierarchy, insisting that “we don’t have to speak about this” and that he is not for “one second” worrying about his future.

He referenced the continual leakage of goals on the left flank as his main concern at present – but Mills believes it is the other end of the pitch that should provide most concern. “What worries me? I guess scoring goals would be the one,” he said.

“Defensively, I think there’s enough in there that you can cope. Let’s say 30 goals would keep you up. Where are those 30 goals going to come from
On the basis of play so far, it doesn’t look like Dominic Calvert-Lewin is going to get you 15. Lukas Nmecha, is he going to give you 15 goals? I know he’s got three, [goal vs Aston Villa] was a fortunate one – but it’s unlikely, I would say.

“So you need other players to start chipping in. You’re going to need your centre-halves to get six or seven between them. You need your midfield players to chip in with 12 between them, and I just don’t see that quite happening at the moment.

“It’s going to be tight. You know, Leeds would have taken 17th at the start of the season and you still take 17th now and I think it will be touch-and-go right until the end of the season.”
