Wolves star Matheus Cunha has directly addressed recent rumours about his future with a post on social media.
The Brazilian forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Molineux and in recent times Manchester United have been at the forefront of the rumour mill involving him.
The former Atletico Madrid man has a release clause of £62.5m in his Wolves deal and United manager Ruben Amorim showered him with praise in his press conference prior to the 1-0 loss at Old Trafford on Sunday, hailing his “real quality”.
After the game Cunha was seen posing for pictures with United fans and Fabrizio Romano proceeded to drop an update where he confirmed that the Red Devils are the firm favourites for his signature and have even got the ball rolling.
On his official X account, he wrote: “Manchester United are leading the race to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves as negotiations are ongoing.
“Personal terms are being discussed, as Man Utd are aware of more clubs keen + £62.5m release clause available.

Cunha, who has 32 goals in 87 games, has also been strongly linked with both Chelsea and Arsenal. But on Wednesday, Cunha responded on his official Instagram accoun
Sharing a picture of himself working in the gym, he wrote: “Let’s work, shall we? Too much conversation.”
Cunha will be back in action for Wolves on Saturday when they host Leicester City at Molineux.
Manager Vitor Pereira was asked about Cunha’s future earlier this month and admitted he is unsure as to whether he will remain with Wolves next season
