Dejan Kulusevski praised for ‘absolutely sensational’ moment for Tottenham v Man City
Tottenham absolutely hammered Manchester City to give their Champions League hopes a massive push and put yet another dent in Pep Guardiola’s side’s own title bid.
City have lost five games on the bounce under Guardiola and the Spaniard has plenty to think about after signing a new deal this week.
For Tottenham, though, there was so much to like about the performance, especially in the final third.
As usual, key to a lot of Tottenham’s good play was Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski.
And after setting up James Maddison’s second with a brilliant piece of wing play, Kulusevski was lauded by the onlooking Jim Beglin.

Speaking for Premier League Productions, Beglin was full of praise for Kulusevski for how he laid on the second for Maddison.
“Dragusin has delivered a very good pass, but then the delivery into the box from Kulusevski is absolutely sensational, he sees the run from Maddison who just wants it placed in front of him. That’s an absolutely exquisite strike,” Beglin said.
Manchester City have now lost five games in a row in all competitions after being stunned by Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium.
City bossed the opening 10 minutes but the visitors soon clicked and James Maddison stuck twice to fire Spurs into a 2-0 lead midway through the opening half.
Pedro Porro then made it 3-0 shortly after the interval by scoring against the club who used to own him but never gave him a first-team chance.
Substitute Brennan Johnson then tapped home from a Timo Werner cross to complete a rout in added time.
Tottenham’s victory takes them up to sixth in the Premier League table, just three points behind Arsenal in fourth.
Meanwhile, City remain second but will be eight points off the lead if Liverpool beat Southampton on Sunday.

It felt like his third goal put the game out of sight, but he also heavily contributed to an inspired defensive performance by Spurs.
Radu Dragusin: 7
Rock solid throughout the match and produced a crucial block in stoppage time to frustrate Haaland further.
Will deservedly receive plenty of respect for filling in at centre-back in Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven’s absence. Impressive showing.
Pape Sarr: 7
Came out on top in seven duels to go with three tackles in an energetic midfield performance.
Yves Bissouma: 5
A rare underperformer for Spurs. Felt like it was going to be a long night for him and Spurs after he was booked in the 17th second. It wasn’t.
James Maddison: 10
Are you watching, Thomas Tuchel? A near-perfect showing from Maddison, scoring twice to send Spurs on their way to a momentous victory. Nine duels won, five fouls drawn, 100 per cent take-on and tackle success rate. Tonight is his night. Superb.
Dejan Kulusevski: 9
He could easily be Spurs’ second 10/10 performer. Ran City’s left side ragged, winning all five of his ground duels, completing four take-ons, creating three chances and adding an assist. Sweden are in the money with their attack.
