‘SHOCKER’- FANS LEFT IN AWE AFTER MATHYS TEL WILL BE SEND BACK TO BAYERN MUNICH

Mathys Tel has endured a difficult start to life at Tottenham, with frustration growing among fans following his performance against Manchester City.

Tottenham fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Erling Haaland marked his return from injury with the only goal of the game.

Tel led the line for Spurs but often drifted wide, struggling to impose himself and finding himself isolated for large parts of the match. He was eventually substituted in the 66th minute for Dejan Kulusevski after failing to make an impact.

The French forward was a sought-after prospect in January, with Manchester United and Arsenal both showing interest in Tel before he made a late U-turn and opted to join Spurs

Despite getting regular minutes since his arrival, his performances have yet to convince, and frustration among supporters has only grown after the latest defeat.

Tottenham face dilemma over Mathys Tel’s future

Tottenham fans have urged Ange Postecoglou to reconsider Tel’s role in the team, as the young forward has struggled in his current position. A recurring issue has been his inability to hold up the ball, often leaving him isolated and ineffective in attack

Despite making more starts for Spurs than he did at Bayern Munich—already featuring in four games—he has yet to make a significant impact, managing just one goal across all competitions this season.

His decision to initially reject Tottenham before changing his mind and joining on loan with an option to buy may not have sat well with some supporters. Some have even claimed Tel could still reject Tottenham if a deal does become permanent due to him having the final say on the deal.

It has been a difficult season for Spurs as injuries have sidelined key players throughout the campaign.

With Dominic Solanke currently out, this period could have been crucial for Tel to prove his worth. However, he has failed to step up in the absence of an established striker.

Tottenham fans remain unconvinced by the young Frenchman and some are hesitant for the club to trigger the £50 million option to buy.

Some fans have been vocal about their frustrations, with one calling for him to be sent back to Bayern and that he’s looked “average” since his arrival with another saying that he “shouldn’t be getting more minutes that Dane [Scarlett]” who is another young striker in their ranks.
