RUUD VAN NISTELROOY WILL BE SHACKED, JAMIE VARDY DISMAY

Leicester City were looking to put an end to a dismal run of form when they hosted Brentford in the Friday evening kick-off.

The Foxes went into the clash knowing that if they wanted to mount a proper survival push, it really needed to start now.

Leicester City lost to Arsenal last weekend, dropping down to 19th place in the Premier League via goal difference as a result.

But with Brentford the, on paper at least, easiest fixture they have had for a couple of weeks, it was time for Ruud van Nistelrooy and co. to finally turn some half-decent displays into a win.

When all was said and done at the King Power Stadium, Leicester were torn apart by Brentford.

Facundo Buonanotte can’t catch a break under Ruud van Nistelrooy

When he first arrived on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion, Facundo Buonanotte was one of Leicester’s best players.

He started nearly every league game under Steve Cooper but since Van Nistelrooy took over, he has completed 90 minutes just twice in the league and started just three matches

PSV Eindhoven is on the verge of making a shocking decision, with reports emerging that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be sacked as the club’s manager. The move comes amid a dismal run of form, which has left the Dutch giants struggling to keep pace in the Eredivisie.

Van Nistelrooy, a legendary striker who enjoyed a storied career with PSV, Manchester United, and the Netherlands, took the reins at the Philips Stadion in 2021. Initially, his appointment was met with widespread optimism, with many expecting the 46-year-old to bring a winning mentality to the club.

However, Van Nistelrooy’s tenure has been marred by inconsistency and a lack of cohesion on the pitch. Despite boasting a talented squad, PSV has struggled to find its rhythm, with a recent string of defeats leaving the club languishing in mid-table.

The writing appears to be on the wall for Van Nistelrooy, with sources close to the club indicating that his dismissal is imminent. The news has sent shockwaves through the football world, with many of Van Nistelrooy’s former colleagues and peers expressing their dismay at the decision.

Jamie Vardy, the Leicester City striker who has been linked with a move to PSV in the past, took to social media to express his disappointment at the news. “Devastated to hear that Ruud is set to leave PSV,” Vardy wrote. “He’s a top bloke and a fantastic manager. This one doesn’t sit right with me.”

Vardy’s sentiments were echoed by other figures within the game, with many questioning the wisdom of sacking a manager who has been in the job for less than two years.

While Van Nistelrooy’s departure may come as a surprise to some, it is clear that the club’s hierarchy has lost patience with the Dutchman. With PSV’s season on the brink of collapse, the powers that be have seemingly decided that a change in management is necessary to salvage what is left of the campaign.

As the dust settles on Van Nistelrooy’s impending departure, one thing is certain: the football world will be watching with bated breath to see what comes next for the legendary striker turned manager. Will he bounce back from this setback, or will his managerial career stall? Only time will tell.
