Jacob Ramsey has offered his thoughts on the Aston Villa debuts of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio after eliminating Tottenham Hotspur from the FA Cup.
Rashford and Asensio both made their first appearances for the Midlands club against Spurs and looked really sharp for Unai Emery’s team.
Ramsey’s first-half strike along with Morgan Rogers’ effort in the 64th minute sealed the win for the Villians, despite Mathys Tel pulling one back for the visitors.
Now, Ramsey has fired a warning to his teammates about the two new experienced signings arriving as they debuted in the FA Cup fifth found.

Jacob Ramsey says he and his Aston Villa teammates know they will need to be on their toes following the arrivals of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.
Rashford caused Pedro Porro plenty of issues down Spurs’ right-hand side whilst Asensio came in and linked the play together nicely.
Ramsey told BBC MOTD: “I think this is probably one of the best squads that we’ve had, you see the bench with all the experience coming on, with Malen starting, Rashford and Asensio coming on.
“The squad depth is unbelievable and the starting players have got to raise their game now because the players who are coming on are a big threat.”

Meanwhile, Joe Hart was full of praise for Ramsey’s attitude towards the new arrivals and claims Emery will be delighted with the healthy competition in the squad.
The former England international also urged Rashford to become a leader in the Villa squad for the younger players like Rodgers and Ramsey.
Hart said on BBC MOTD: “They look like two young, hungry, humble players. I can’t help but think about Marcus Rashford, he can now be a leader for these younger players.
“Marcos Asensio coming into the building to drive these guys on and like you said there, their attitude, for Ramsey to say they need to think about our first-team spots because these guys are coming with competition.
“Healthy competition is a dream for a manager and that was an excellent interview.”
