Aston Villa fans have all had the same thing to say about Jhon Duran’s future at the club following Jamie Carragher’s assessment on his situation.
According to The Athletic, West Ham have placed a £57million bid for the 21-year-old striker which was rejected by Villa.
However, his future at Villa Park remains unclear as he battles for game time with Ollie Watkins under Unai Emery’s leadership.
Carragher spoke to Sky Sports about the situation and said, “I’d sell Jhon Duran, and it probably goes against the grain of what most football clubs would do, because normally in that situation you’d sell the older one, Ollie Watkins, because you think this guy’s going to be here for a long time.
“I don’t think you’re quite getting the best out of Ollie Watkins knowing that Jhon Duran’s going to come on with 15 to 20 minutes of every game, but he has to bring him on with 15-20 minutes of every game because he’s going to be unhappy.
“Sometimes you can have players that are almost too good in the same position, one player needs to know he’s the man, that’s Ollie Watkins for me.”

Football Insider previously revealed that Villa will only consider selling Duran for a “huge fee,” but fans are hopeful that will not happen.
The striker has scored 12 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions, and supporters are adamant that he should remain at the club.
