Now, Fabrizio Romano has shared a big transfer update involving Villa and two more January targets, namely Loic Bade and Andres Garcia
Aston Villa deem Andres Garcia deal sealed as Loic Bade next in line

Romano has taken to X to say Villa are now prepared to intensify their efforts to sign Sevilla defender Bade, who is now their top target as Diego Carlos’ replacement.
The transfer insider also said Villa now consider their deal for Levante right-back Garcia “all done”, with a medical booked for the 21-year-old.
Villa have paid the Spanish second division side €7million (£6million) for Garcia, according to Romano.
In addition, Villa are happy to loan out Kosta Nedeljkovic, who they signed last January from Red Star Belgrade.
The teenage defender has struggled for game time this term, having found Matty Cash blocking his route to the Villa first-team.Villa are also said to be closing in on the signing of Turkish prodigy Yasin Ozcan from Kasimpasa for almost £7million.

What Bade and Garcia can bring to Villa

Bade is a 24-year-old central defender who has made 76 appearances for Sevilla, along with 33 for Lens and 22 for Rennes.
He has also won call-ups to the France national team, though he’s yet to win his first senior cap.
“For a defender, I think I am quick, I am quite technical and strong, and I think I am well-suited to this league,” Bade told the Sevilla media team after joining in 2023.
“Playing in a back three or a back four isn’t the same, but I can play in either system. I think I am an intelligent player and I am going to be able to show that.”
Bade also has interest from Liverpool, while TBR Football reported that Newcastle had shortlisted Bade back in October.
Meanwhile, Garcia is a 21-year-old right-back who has made 50 appearances for Levante, including 22 this season.
He is a pacey full-back who has a knack for delivering precise crosses from the flanks, and is also a strong tackler.
