Fans and great sky sport reporter Michael Dawson exploded live on Sky Sports after how West Ham United defended in their loss against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Irons succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Forest at the City Ground in the Premier League on Saturday (2 November), courtesy of goals from Chris Wood, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ola Aina.
Dawson could not believe what he was watching after Aina scored, admitting he should never have been given the chance.
“Disgusting, I still don’t know how he’s scored from here”, he said on Sky Sports [2 November, 4:39pm].
“Elliot Anderson just lends him the ball, he’s playing right-back, he drifts inside like he’s playing in the park, but overruns the ball.
“Todibo… I think it’s Todibo who tries to dink it over, it comes to his chest, sits up lovely, edge of the box, left foot, straight into the roof of the net, 3-0. Forest are in dreamland.”
Julen Lopetegui took some pressure off himself after leading the Hammers to a 2-1 victory over Manchester United last weekend.
However, the defeat at the City Ground will undoubtedly lead to further talks about the Spaniard’s future at the East London club.
West Ham are notably placed fourteenth in the table with three wins after ten games, sitting just five points above the relegation zone.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has spoken about Marcus Rashford amid the uncertainty over his Manchester United future. Speculation surrounding Rashford’s future increased this week after he was left out of United’s matchday squad for the derby win over rivals Manchester City. On Tuesday night, journalist Henry Winter posted his interview with Rashford, during which he asked the Englishman whether he is staying or going. Rashford went on to reply: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.” As a result, with the January transfer window on the horizon, Rashford has been linked with a host of different clubs around the globe. Despite not being directly linked with the North London club, Spurs boss Postecoglou was asked about Rashford ahead of their Carabao Cup tie against United. The Australian said: “No interest, don’t care, no interest. He’s a Man United player, a very good player, they’ve got plenty of good players. “But I manage my players and I guess other managers will manage their own players. In terms of Marcus’ situation, I have no real desire to examine it any further.” When pushed on whether Spurs would consider a move for Rashford, Postecoglou added: “Oh, mate, if I looked at everyone who we were linked to I’d have no time to do anything else, to be honest. I’ve got other people to do that part of the process. “For us, we’ve been pretty disciplined in terms of what we’re trying to build here and will continue to be so. The Irons hierarchy has a decision to make regarding Lopetegui, with Edin Terzic waiting to move to the Premier League (Sami Mokbel).
Terzic has been mooted as a potential candidate to take the reins at the London Stadium (Sunday Mirror) amid growing pressure on Lopetegui.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager is prioritising a move to England and the Irons could miss out on him if they do not make a decision quickly.
