Tottenham Hotspur have moved on plenty of fringe players already this summer, and one of the last big sales to be completed looks set to reach its conclusion very soon.
One more bonus to be resolved
The talk of Emerson Royal moving to AC Milan has been going on for three months now, but it sounds all the more likely that the Brazilian will not be a part of Tottenham‘s squad for the upcoming Premier League campaign.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), which claims this will be the “hottest week” in the ongoing transfer saga.
However, the deal may not be complete until later this month when Milan return to Italy after their pre-season tour of the US.
All that remains, though, is to resolve the matter of a sell-on clause. The update on the finer details comes from MilanLive, who explain the Italian side are offering €15m (£12.8m) plus bonuses, and that Spurs are keen for a 10% resale add-on, too.
Apparently, the two clubs will be discussing these details in “the next few hours,” at some point on Monday.
Emerson Royal is close to AC Milan
This all aligns with reports from Sky Sports Italy (as relayed by Milan News), which suggested bonus payments are all that are standing in the way of the deal being completed.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Daniel Levy and Spurs have been playing hardball and pushing for the deal they want, thought to be closer to £20m.

I honestly cannot wait for this deal to be concluded and Royal to be gone.
That’s nothing against him, it’s just it’s taken so long to get this wrapped up and it’s getting quite frustrating now, especially when Spurs have been so clear about what they want for the player.
