Rangers supporters have taken to social media calling for a replay of the Scottish League Cup final after their loss to Celtic.
The Gers lost to their bitter rivals on penalties after the teams drew 3-3 on Sunday 15 December, to concede the first trophy of the season.
Fans were bewildered over the failure to award a penalty to Rangers in extra time.
Liam Scales was pulled down by Vaclav Cerny but referee John Beaton awarded Rangers a free-kick after failing to spot the infringement that had occurred in the box and the VAR failed to intervene.
Scottish FA chief executive Ian Maxwell admitted in a statement that “decisions will be wrong” and that is down to “human nature” [BBC Sport].

Philippe Clement has been at the centre of speculation in recent weeks, with the Glasgow club sitting third in the table and 11 points off the top.
The Old Firm Derby is always a fiery fixture in the league campaign, but a final with a trophy at stake raises the intensity even further.

Supporters took to social media to voice their anger, with many calling for a replay. One fan cited the Belgian league, claiming there is a “precedent under these circumstances” for such action, while another is already asking when “ticket details” will be announced for the match.
Others aimed their frustrations at the VAR duo, Alan Muir and Frank Connor, accusing them of failing to inform the referee of crucial incidents. One fan declared it “has to be the end” for the pair.
