“SHOULD BE NOWHERE NEAR THE TEAM!” CELTIC FANS SHOW FRUSTRATION AFTER ZAGREB DRAW

With the quality of our opposition tonight both on paper and as the game played out in front of us on our television screens, it really must be said that was two points dropped for Celtic tonight.

A 0-0 draw away from home especially in the Champions League can never be considered as a bad result, however, it’s very clear that it can also be said we should have done much better.

Once again we defended well and Schmeichel was as always again solid in goals, making one vital save in the last 20 minutes and tipping a header over the ball that was heading into the roof of the net.

But attacking wise, we were as poor as I have seen us in a long time.

Yes, Zagreb deserve credit for defending well and getting the blocks in when it mattered, but we barely created any clear cut chances and only managed one shot at goal the whole game, a tame effort from Luke McCowan straight into the keepers hands from outside the box.

Kyogo did absolutely nothing up front and Hatate did nothing all night apart from constantly give the ball away.

The worrying thing is this has always been his weakness and he hasn’t really improved on it. Too often he passes the ball without even lifting his head up or tries through balls that just aren’t on and a lot of attacks break down when he is not on form, too many in reality especially at this level when we need to make the most of our attacks.

And it seems the Japanese midfielder was the main target for criticism from Celtic supporters on social media tonight.
