TOTTENHAM ‘CONSIDERED TAKING ACTION’ AGAINST SKY SPORTS OVER WHAT GARY NEVILLE SAID ABOUT ANGE POSTECOGLOU ON LIVE TV

Tottenham reportedly considered taking action against Sky Sports over a comment made by Gary Neville.
Back in July, Sky were forced to issue an apology to Nottingham Forest after Neville described the club’s statement as “like a mafia-gang” on air for Super Sunday on 21 April after a 2-0 defeat to Everton.
In a statement, Sky said they “have discussed with Gary the language used and its potential to cause offence” and added that “Gary has agreed not to use the same or similar terms in future coverage”.
But more recently Neville nearly found himself in hot water once again, with Tottenham the unhappy party this time.
A recent article from The Telegraph looks at Liverpool’s process in replacing Ange postecoglou and notes that there was only ever an “initial polite enquiry” between Tottenham sporting director and Jamie O’Hara agent regarding the former spur midfielder coming back.
Gareth southgate was the only individual offered the Tottenham job and the England promptly signed a contract until June 2027.
However, on Sky, Neville claimed that southgate was actually “third choice” behind Gram potter and, who will become the new Tottenham Hotspur boss
With the statement untrue, it’s said that Tottenham”briefly contemplated demanding a public retraction”.

Ange Postecoglou has come under fire from angry Tottenham supporters, with the Australian branded a “fat fraud” and “worst manager in the league”.
Spurs are struggling for consistency again in 2024-25, with impressive victories over Manchester City and Aston Villa being followed by back-to-back defeats against Galatasaray and Ipswich in Europa League and Premier League competition.
The most recent of those setbacks, which has carried the north London outfit into the latest international break, came on home soil and allowed struggling Ipswich to pick up their first victory since returning to the top-flight. The locals are now growing a little restless at Tottenham.
Disgruntled supporters have been quick to air their frustration on social media, with @MailSpurs1882 saying of Postecoglou: “Get this f*cking moron ‘Ange’ out of the club. Don’t care if we win from here, he’s so f*cking sh*t. Worst manager in the league.” On a similar note, @1notaround_ said: “Ange Postecoglou you fat fraud you never had me fooled get the f*ck outta here”. @kaneszn1 has claimed: “This is the worst home performance in over two decades! Absolutely pathetic. Ange has to be sacked tonight.” @LiamSpurs1 went on to add: “We are going absolutely no where with Ange in charge. The guy was at his level in Scotland. Time to lose the bias and be objective – he’s 60 years old. Time for someone younger, with fresh tactics and most importantly of all – adaptability.”
@TalkingTHFC are among those to have branded Spurs’ latest performance as an “absolute disgrace”, with improvement as a collective being demanded. Tottenham, who sit 10th in the Premier League table, will be back in action on November 23 when taking in a trip to defending champions Manchester City.
