Edin Terzic could be the perfect replacement for Julen Lopetegui at West Ham United this season.
The Spaniard could not have wished for a worse start at the London Stadium, currently sitting fifteenth in the Premier League table.
The former Wolves boss spent big in the summer with the Hammers finding themselves as one of the most active teams in the transfer window in the Premier League.
Things just haven’t gone quite right for the Spaniard, so, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see managers such as Terzic being linked with a move to the London Stadium.
Florian Plettenberg reported via X on 22 October that the former Borussia Dortmund boss is a candidate to replace Lopetegui if David Sullivan chooses to part ways with him
Terzic guided Borussia Dortmund back to the good times during his stint at the club, taking them to the Champions League final against Real Madrid last season.Edin Terzic could be perfect for West Ham United
The 41-year-old has already worked at the London Stadium under Slaven Bilic but now could be the perfect time for him to take the main seat.
Granted, Madrid ended up winning 2-0 but without Terzic’s guidance, there’s no way they would have got as far as they did in the tournament.Terzic would bring a new lease of life to the London Stadium and a much more attacking sense of play to the squad. This would likely work out well for the Hammers due to the vast amount of quality they have in attack with players such as Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta at their disposal.
Of course, this is all speculation at the moment but of all the names mooted with a move to the London Stadium as possible replacements for Lopetegui, it almost feels like a no-brainer for Sullivan to make a move for Terzic to see if he can salvage their season.
