West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus’ apology shows that his Ghana side are in a “quite serious” situation, according to Owuraku Ampofo.
The 3SportsGhana journalist posted on X (17 October) a video in which he analysed the message on Kudus’ Instagram page, which came in the wake of Ghana’s shock 2-0 defeat to Sudan in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying.
Pointing out that Kudus rarely posts on social media, Ampofo added that Kudus was taking on the responsibilities of a leader having been Ghana’s de-facto captain in the loss to Sudan.
He said: “If Kudus comes out to post an apology, then you know it’s quite serious and comes from within.
“By virtue of releasing the statement, Kudus has shown a hint as to how ready he is to sort of lead this team, lead the next era, lead this next generation into something great.”
