West Ham United parted ways with David Moyes back in May, after he spent four-and-a-half years in charge at the London Stadium.
David Moyes actually achieved plenty of success at West Ham, with his crowning glory being our Europa Conference League triumph in 2023.
Julen Lopetegui replaced Moyes officially on July 1st of this year, but amazingly, the Scot has already been linked with a return to West Ham to replace the Spaniard.
I’m sure that there aren’t many Hammers fans who want to see Moyes back at the London Stadium.
However, he could be back in the Premier League sooner than any of us expected.
That’s because one of our London rivals are seemingly on the look-out for a new manager, if their results do not improve…
David Moyes could join Premier League club after West Ham exit
The Scot has an impressive track record in the Premier League, in spite of the criticism he received at West Ham, especially during his latter days at the London Stadium.
He is well-renowned for his ability to stabilise teams, just like he did with Everton and West Ham.
And he proved last year that he is actually capable of winning trophies as well.
Now he could be set for a switch to one of our London rivals
According to a report from Caught Offside, Moyes is being lined up to replace Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace, if the German doesn’t improve things quickly at Selhurst Park.
Palace have been woeful this season, and are currently sitting in 18th spot in the Premier League table after three draws and four defeats from their opening seven.
The Eagles’ struggles this season have surprised many, after Glasner performed heroics for them last term.
Crystal Palace look like a shadow of their former selves this season, and that is clearly worrying the powers that be at Selhurst Park.
If results don’t improve quickly, we could see former West Ham boss David Moyes back in the Premier League, with a move to the South London club being mooted.
And if that does happen, it will be incredibly interesting to see how he gets on.
