Eberechi Eze’s plans for January moves revealed as Tottenham continue to circle over the Crystal Palace star.

A big update has emerged regarding Eberechi Eze’s plans for next summer as Tottenham continue to circle over the Crystal Palace star.

Palace make admission

Many would have been surprised that Eze was not poached by a bigger club in the summer window after the attacking midfielder was heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park all through the window.

In fact, Palace chairman Steve Parish himself was surprised that there was not more interest in the 25-year-old last summer.

Parish told Sky Sports last month that he was ‘astounded’ that clubs were not queuing up to sign the England international.

Eze’s intention revealed

Football Insider have now revealed that Eze is set to push for a move away from the Eagles at the end of the current season.

The report claims that the midfielder is ready to swap Palace for a bigger club and is expected to push for a cut-price move next summer.

The outlet states that both Tottenham and Liverpool are ‘long-term admirers’ of Eze but neither club made a move for the player during the recent summer window.

Reduced fee for Eze?

Football Insider go on to explain that Eze has a £68m release clause in his contract, which will become active again next summer.

However, it is suggested that he could leave for a much lower fee next summer since the player will have just two years left on his contract.

The publication adds that the midfielder’s entourage will be ‘pushing to secure a move to a top club’ and would ‘force Palace to thrash out a bargain deal’ for their client.

Real Madrid eyeing another Tottenham star alongside Cristian Romero

Tottenham top talents have reportedly caught the attention of Real Madrid, with the reigning European champions showing interest in not one but two key Spurs players for a potential transfer.

According to a report from the mirror Real Madrid have set their sights on both Cristian Romero and Pedro Porro, two vital members of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Cristian Romero has been on Madrid’s radar for some time, with the Argentine defender impressing with his consistent performances in the Premier League.

A cornerstone of Tottenham’s defensive setup, Romero’s reliability and commanding presence have earned him attention from major European clubs.

However, the Lilywhites remain firm in their commitment to keeping him as part of their long-term project. Romero, who is under contract until 2027, continues to be a crucial part of Spurs’ defensive strategy.

Real Madrid now eyeing Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro as well

In addition to Romero, Los Blancos is also interested in Tottenham’s dynamic right-back, Pedro Porro. Since joining from Sporting CP in January 2023, Porro has emerged as one of Spurs’ standout performers, playing a pivotal role on both ends of the pitch.

The Spanish full-back was a regular in Postecoglou’s starting XI last season, contributing three goals and seven assists in 35 appearances. His consistent performances have helped establish him as one of the Premier League’s top full-backs.

With Real Madrid vice-captain Dani Carvajal sidelined for an extended period due to a knee injury, the Spanish giants are in the market for a right-back, and Porro’s previous experience in La Liga with Girona and Real Valladolid makes him a strong candidate for the role.
