Alan Brazil baffled by what’s going on at West Ham United amid recent results

The Hammers have had a poor start to the season and find themselves fourteenth in the Premier League, just two points clear of the drop zone.
Julen Lopetegui’s men are set to face Ipswich next and will be looking to break their poor run of form and finally be able to take home all three points from the top-flight clash.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (3 October, 08:42am), Brazil shared his thoughts on West Ham’s season so far.

“It’s weird what’s going on there [West Ham] at the moment, struggling a bit aren’t they,” Brazil said.
West Ham United need a win
Of all the Premier League teams, West Ham was one of the few who had a major overhaul of their players.
It was evident after the club’s poor defensive performance last season that change was needed.
However, despite the addition of new players into the first-team fold, it feels as if West Ham are worse off now than what they were when David Moyes was in charge.

Lopetegui was brought in to try and offer something different and distance the club from the negative tactics of Moyes, but, in reality, the Scotsman’s tactics seem to have worked better than what the Spaniards currently are.
Lopetegui’s future has been questioned for some time now and the fact that the Hammers gave the boss a three-game ultimatum to decide his fate, says all you need to know about how they feel [GiveMeSport, 24 September].

Indeed, there’s still plenty of time for things to change but at the moment, fans are likely wondering if they’d be better off without Lopetegui at the helm.
