…PAUL MERSON didn’t hold back as he immensely slammed 25-Year old Tottenham star

Ange Postecoglou had eggs thrown in her face after Paul Merson questioned spence involvement in Tottenham’s 2:1 lost to Bayern Munich
Merson thinks one of the reasons for Spurs’ collapse is injuries to key players throughout the last season and the drop in form of Maddison.
Before the 27-year-old’s injury, Merson thought the playmaker was ‘flying’ but now he’s no longer the same player.
James Maddison’s form
“I think they have done better,” said Merson. “They are not better team to watch anymore. They are signing unprofessional player at the wrong times. Udogie is a big player for them and they missed van de Ven today
“Maddison has come back and he hasn’t been the same player. He was flying before he got injured. They need a couple of good players.
“I don’t think the manager has done anything better.

Tottenham’s preseason winning streak halted by Bayern
Tottenham Hotspur’s winning run was ended by Bayern Munich in Seoul.
Ange Postecoglu’s men had won their first four games in pre-season but met their match against Bayern in South Korea.
The first-half XI was; Vicario; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Spence; Sarr, Gray; Johnson, Maddison, Son; and Kulusevski.
It took just four minutes for Spurs to fall behind, with Gabriel Vidovic profiting from a rare error by Vicario.
Ange made three changes at half-time, with Emerson, Bissouma, and Bergvall replacing Gray, Dragusin, and Maddison.
Former Spurs player Eric Dier was introduced after 55 minutes for Bayern before Leon Goretzka doubled the lead very shortly after.
Skipp, Donley, and Devine replaced Davies, Spence, and Sarr as Spurs looked to get a foothold in the game.
That they did, as Porro halved the deficit just two minutes later with a superb strike from just over 20 yards out, similar to his goal vs Burnley in the FA Cup last season. Ironically, it is also against Vincent Kompany.

Austin, Lankshear, Moore, and Werner replaced Vicario, Kulusevski, Johnson, and Son with 15 minutes to go. Abbott replaced Porro with 10 minutes left.
Spurs could not find that equaliser though, and fell to their first defeat of pre-season.
Ange and his team can have no complaints. For large periods of the game, Bayern were superior in and out of possession.
Their German counterparts had 22 shots to Spurs’ 11 and 11 shots on target to Spurs’ 4. Bayern had as many shots on target as Spurs had shots of any kind.
Whilst sweeping conclusions should not be made based on friendlies, fans have expressed concern about losing as soon as they have played a top-level opponent.
Spurs captain Heung Min-Son played against his compatriot Kim Min-Jae for the first time in their careers, in what would have been a special occasion for them and all of the local fans in the stadium.
The two sides will rematch in North London next Saturday, 3 pm kick-off local time. Will we see Harry Kane play against Spurs for the first time ever?
